On this page you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. If you have any questions that are not addressed below, please reach out to us.

SHOULD I GET TESTED EVEN IF I BELIEVE I’M HEALTHY?

Some medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, colon cancer and prostate cancer may not show symptoms for up to two years. A blood test is the most effective way to detect potential medical conditions. Any deviations from the normal reference range can be monitored and serve as reference for future tests.

WHAT IS A PATIENT SERVICE CENTER?

A Patient Service Center (PSC) is a fixed or mobile facility for the collection, drawing and temporary storage of human specimen which is then forwarded to a clinical laboratory for testing. It is a certified laboratory where you’re attended to by licensed phlebotomists. Your healthcare provider may also refer you to the same PSC you use with us.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT PRIOR TO VISITING A PATIENT SERVICE CENTER?

Most patient service center (PSC) don’t require an appointment. However, please contact your preferred lab location for information on their hours of operation and whether or not they expect customers to book an appointment.

DO I NEED TO CONSULT MY HEALTHCARE PROVIDER TO GET TESTED?

The choice to consult your healthcare provider prior to getting a test is up to you. It is not a requirement. Note that there will be a doctor listed on your requisition form who is our ordering Medical Director for your state.

You will need to provide the name of the test(s) you want. My Lab Solution cannot recommend tests. We have tied up with labs used by healthcare providers and hospitals, ensuring utmost reliability and security.

HOW DO YOU PROMISE THE RELIABILITY OF THE TESTS?

We have partnered with accredited, licensed labs that are nationally reputed. We can express confidence in the quality of the service provided by all the labs in our network.

CAN I CHANGE THE NAME IN THE ORDER, SUCH AS MY SPOUSE OR FATHER?

Information in medical records is private and sensitive. HIPAA laws forbid sharing of private medical information without express written consent from the person in question, including your spouse or a parent.

For this reason, it is not possible to change the name and DOB fields in our system. If you wish to place an order for a family member, please create a separate account for him/her.

MY SPOUSE IS HAVING TROUBLE SIGNING IN TO THEIR ACCOUNT. CAN I CONTACT YOU FOR THEIR LOGIN INFORMATION?

HIPAA laws deem all medical information private, sharing it only with the individual who has undergone the test. You can access the account information of anyone aged 18 years and above with their express permission only.

WILL MY RESULTS BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL?

Your results are confidential with the exception being when the law requires notifying positive tests to government agencies for their statutory reporting purposes. In all other circumstances, your results are fully private and confidential. In adherence to HIPAA laws, we don’t provide your results to anyone unless you provide a signed HIPAA release form. Your insurance company also doesn’t get a copy of your results without your written consent.

WILL MY HEALTHCARE PROVIDER GET A COPY OF MY RESULTS?

Medical information is private and confidential, and in adherence to HIPAA laws, we don’t share your test results with anyone except you. If you want to share a copy of your result with your healthcare provider, we can do so only after you sign a HIPAA release form authorizing the release of your results.

DOES MY LAB SOLUTION FILE INSURANCE CLAIMS ON CUSTOMERS’ BEHALF?

My Lab Solution does not file insurance claims. We do however provide you CPT codes so you can file your reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider for matters related to reimbursement and benefits.

CAN I GET MEDICARE REIMBURSEMENT?

Medicare does not reimburse consumer initiated testing of human specimen, also known as direct access testing, direct-to-consumer, or patient-authorized testing.

HOW DO I GO ABOUT ORDERING MY TEST?

  1. Place your order online at https://mylabsolution.com
  2. Print your requisition form from your My Lab Solution account.
  3. Take your requisition form to the patient service center.
  4. A certified phlebotomist will collect a sample form you.
  5. Your results will be available 48-72 hours for most tests, some tests may take longer. You will receive an email with further instructions on how to access your lab results.

Please bring along your photo ID along with your requisition form. This is to ascertain that you’re 18 years of age or above. My Lab Solution does not provide its services to individuals under 18 years of age.

Note: If.you visit a lab that is not part of our PSC network, you will be responsible for the bill from that lab and we will not provide a refund. We request you to bring no other requisition other than ours.

THE TEST MENU DOESN’T HAVE THE TEST I WANT. WHAT DO I DO?

I WILL NEED TO PROVIDE A BLOOD SAMPLE IN MY SPECIALTY LAB TEST KIT. WHERE CAN I HAVE MY BLOOD DRAWN?

To have your blood drawn, please search for a lab conveniently placed close to your location. The lab will charge a fee for this service.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO AN EXISTING ORDER?

After your order has been processed, no changes can be made. If you wish to add or remove a test, or transfer funds to a new or existing customer account, you will be liable for a $10 processing fee towards a new requisition form.

We accept all major credit cards. Our website is protected by an SSL certificate and our payment gateway is PCI compliant. Your transaction occurs in a secure environment and your credit card information is safe.

ARE EXPRESS OR STAT TESTING OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Laboratories follow a specific time frame for their tests. It is not possible to deviate from these standardized time frames.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE RESULTS?

You should receive results for most tests within 1-3 days after having your blood drawn. Once your results have been uploaded to your account, you will receive an email. You can login to print your results.

Note that results will be uploaded after all tests have been processed. If you need results sooner, please create a separate order for tests that take longer.

CAN I RECEIVE MY RESULTS VIA EMAIL?

HIPAA laws prevent us from emailing results to customers. We will send an email notifying you that your test results have been uploaded to your online account or other secured method.

DO I GET A REFUND IF I CANCEL MY ORDER?

You can cancel your order prior to the collection of specimens. You will get a refund matching the price of the test minus a $10 cancellation fee. This is applicable if you cancel within thirty (30) days from the date of ordering the labs.

My Lab Solution credit refunds will be offered upon request. Within ninety (90) days of purchase, a once full website credit will be issued upon request and the credit will expire thirty (30) days from the date the credit was issued.

No refund or cancellation of any kind will be made after ninety (90) days from the date of ordering the labs.

 

Note: Lab orders are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

WHEN WILL MY TEST EXPIRE?

Your order remains active but your requisition form will need to be reactivated if it hasn’t been used within six months. Please contact us to have your requisition form activated.

WILL I BE ABLE TO CORRECTLY INTERPRET MY TEST RESULTS?

Your test results will mention the normal reference range and indicate abnormalities. Please discuss results falling outside of normal ranges with your healthcare provider. You can also visit an authoritative medical website to understand your test results. However, a consultation with your physician is recommended to learn about next steps in the event of abnormal test results.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY RESULTS INDICATE ABNORMALITIES?

Abnormalities do not necessarily indicate that you have a disease or disorder. If you didn’t follow the preparations required prior to getting your test, the results may be affected. For instance, if you took certain medications or had alcohol the day before your fasting plasma glucose test, your results may be temporarily outside the normal range.

In any case, your healthcare provider is in the best position to offer advice on abnormal results.

My Lab Solution cannot interpret results as we are not licensed physicians. Only your healthcare provider can interpret your results.

WHAT IS A CONSULTATION FEE?

A consultation is a rendering of advice or professional opinion. This addition service is provided by a independent physician and additional charges will apply.

A consultation fee is $249.99 and it must be purchased separately.

WHEN ARE THE DISCOUNTS APPLICABLE?

Great discounts have already been applied to our prebuilt panels and are not eligible for further discounting. Lab work that is already being discounted will not be eligible for further discounts through promotional codes

If you are visiting My Lab Solution for the first time, you will be required to create an account, referred to as My Lab Solution Portal.

With easy access to your account 24/7, using just your username and password, you will be able to:

- View your wellness blood test orders and their eligible discounts

- Print your lab requisition paperwork

- Sign HIPAA release forms

- View and print your individual wellness test results.

PAYMENT

At My Lab Solution, in addition to a quick and easy to follow ordering process, we believe in providing our customers with transparent lab testing.

Our listed prices are all-inclusive with additional charge of $9.80 Drs. review fee per order,  We also accept all major credit cards and debit cards.

RECEIPTS

As soon as you've placed your order for direct access laboratory testing, we will send you an automated confirmation email, which will include your attached receipt.

HOW CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO THE LAB ORDER FORM?

We provide our customers with flexibility, If you believe you have made an error please notify in detail at customersupport@mylabsolution.com

In case you need to make any changes, for a nominal $10 "Processing Fee," you will receive a new requisition form with in 24 hours.

Add/remove test(s):

Once an order has been processed with My Lab Solution, though, we would not be able to make any further changes.

I DIDN’T RECEIVE A REQUISITION FORM(S)

Within 2 hours of your order being placed, your requisition form will be generated and uploaded directly on to your My Lab Solution account. You will be notified by email once your requisition form available.

If for any reason you are unable to printout the order information or lab requisition form for any reason, Please contact us at customersupport@mylabsolution.com or leave a voicemail at 1 866-693-5933.

While you can place your order ant any time that is convenient for you, if your order is placed outside our normal business hours, it will be processed on the very next business day.

BEFORE VISITING THE PATIENT SERVICE CENTER, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Before visiting your Patient Service Center (PSC) of choice, ensure you have your requisition form with you.

Please visit the same patient service center you have selected during you order.

If you visit patient service center other than CPL or Quest, My Lab Solution will NOT responsible for any damages and My Lab Solution will NOT be responsible for paying any and all fees that may be incurred at the other PSC.

Please do not submit any other requisition form, other than the one you ordered from My Lab Solution’s requisition form to the patient service center.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

Services are only available in the state of Texas. My Lab Solution does not offer service nationwide at this time.

Will I BE ABLE TO ORDER LABS IF I AM UNDER 18?

As per contract terms with our medical providers, we are unable to provide a requisition for customers under the age of 18. We provide a number of tests to customers aged 18 years or older.

Please make sure you contact your chosen site prior to your test to learn if you need to prepare for your test (fast, diet restrictions, medication).

If you have your blood drawn at any lab location not listed on the My Lab Solution lab locator page, we will be unable to provide results and you will be liable for the bill payment.
